Zion Baptist chorus performs Saturday

The Male Chorus of Zion Baptist will be Celebratin­g its 30th anniversar­y on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 8105 Annapolis Woods Road in Welcome. Guests will include male choruses from area churches along with the Gospel Disciples of Southern Maryland. Light refreshmen­ts will be served following the program. Admission is free. Our Lady hosts ‘Baby Bottle Boomerang’

Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street in Waldorf, is hosting a Baby Bottle Boomerang in support of the Catherine Foundation. Baby bottles are available in the narthex at the church. Parishione­rs and visitors can fill the bottles with spare change and return the bottles to the church by Nov. 18. The Catherine Foundation provides free pregnancy testing, ultrasound­s, counseling, maternity and baby clothes, baby food and supplies. Waldorf church celebratin­g 25 years

Mount Sinai AME Church’s 25th Church Anniversar y Celebratio­n is at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at Middleton Hall, 4045 Renner Road, in Waldorf. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Juanita Hall-Walters of Greater Mount Olive AME Church in Philadelph­ia. Gospel performer Lindsey Slaton also will be featured. Pleasant Grove to hold fall revival

Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5560 Pleasant Grove Road in Marbury will hold its annual revival at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14-16. On Nov. 14, the guest speaker will be the Rev. H. Joseph Franklin Jr., pastor of Keys to the Kingdom Community Church. On Nov. 15, the guest speaker will be the Rev. Samuel King, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Sterling R. Swann, pastor of Ritchie Baptist Church, will speak on Friday, Nov. 16. All are invited to come and worship.

La Plata UMC to host gift, bake sale

La Plata United Methodist Church, 3 Port Tobacco Road in La Plata, is hosting its annual Holiday Shoppe & Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. Two large rooms of vendors with one-of-a-kind items, Recycled Christmas, silent auction for a Craft Circle quilt and the Homemade Bake Sale are all on tap. Proceeds go to the church’s mission projects.

Israel Total Life to host community dinner
