Lengthen and strengthen muscles is a 6-week program starting 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the
Garvey Senior Activity Center. Leader Gail Watchen will focus on toning the major muscle groups while simultaneously stretching and lengthening the muscles, which allows for deeper movements while building strength and stability. A new bible study group will meet 10:30 a.m. Fridays at the Loffler Senior Activity Center. The non-denominational, Christian-based scripture group will be led by Phil Benedict, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago who has spent most of his life teaching the Bible in churches as well as two rehabilitation organizations.
