Lengthen and strengthen muscles is a 6-week program starting 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the

Garvey Senior Activity Center. Leader Gail Watchen will focus on toning the major muscle groups while simultaneo­usly stretching and lengthenin­g the muscles, which allows for deeper movements while building strength and stability. A new bible study group will meet 10:30 a.m. Fridays at the Loffler Senior Activity Center. The non-denominati­onal, Christian-based scripture group will be led by Phil Benedict, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago who has spent most of his life teaching the Bible in churches as well as two rehabilita­tion organizati­ons.
