Margaret Dennison (Trunnell) “Peggy”

SUMMERVILLE SC — Margaret “Peggy” Dennison, 80, of Summerville, SC was born on September 5, 1941 in Washington, DC. to Charles and Ethel Bendall Trunnell. She passed away January 20, 2022 surrounded by family. Peggy was a cake decorator, floral designer, painter, and faithful Christian. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and entertaining. She originally attended the United Methodist Church in LaPlata, MD and then Grace Brethren Church in Waldorf, MD, before moving to Florida for 20 years. Prior to moving to Summerville, SC, she attended several churches in Florida and then in SC, Midway Baptist Church in Goose Creek, which later became Creekside Church.

She was the wife of former builder, Wayne Dennison of Dennison Masonry Corp. They were married for 62 years before he passed 2 years ago. Peggy is survived by her children: Patti Tumas ( Brad), Penny Carlson (Steve), Jeff Dennison ( Edie), and Joani Colon ( Jason); Grandchildren: Jeremy Jameson (Crystal), Joey Jameson, Bradley Jameson ( Jesica), Joseph Tumas, Craig Dennison ( Yanika), Bryant Dennison ( Lori), Jenna Boulware (Shane), Justin Colon ( Diana) and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother, and granddaughter, Jennifer Dennis (Greg).

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 10:30 am for visitation at Carolina Funeral Home and Gardens. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 am.
