Higgins (Perdita Weeks) finds herself in a dizzyingly complicated situation when a 12-year-old asks for her help solving a triple homicide that involves the girl’s mother in a new episode called “Remember Me Tomorrow.” Elsewhere, while doing volunteer work with the No Veteran Dies Alone program to comfort veterans now in hospice, Magnum (Jay Hernandez) bonds with a terminally ill yet still vibrant patient and tries to reunite him with his family. Zachary Knighton and Stephen Hill also star.

The first performance of an opera by a Black composer in the Metropolitan Opera’s history, “Fire Shut Up in My Bones,” Grammy winner Terence Blanchard’s self-described “opera in jazz,” marked a major milestone for the Met when it opened the 2021-22 season last September. Working from a libretto by filmmaker Kasi Lemmons, adapted from a memoir by journalist Charles M. Blow, Blanchard’s opera revolves around a young Black man struggling to overcome a lifetime of trauma. Will Liverman, Angel Blue and Walter Russell III head the cast; Yannick NézetSeguin conducts.

Director and co-writer Joel David Moore’s remake of a successful 2013 Korean horror thriller stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors”) as Noah Blackwell, a wealthy businessman who goes searching for his estranged brother after the death of their father. Noah hopes to make amends to his sibling and share the family fortune their father left behind. Instead, he finds himself drawn into a frightening netherworld of sinister squatters who secretly live in homes shared by the unaware owners. Jacinda Barrett, Joe Pantoliano and Mustafa Shakir also star.
