The new episode, “Portugal: Wild Land on the Edge,” explores a country that once was a great power connecting the Old and New Worlds. Today, Portugal’s history is deeply linked to its wildlife and landscapes. The country’s only natural park is home to a unique breed of wild horses that are small yet hardy enough to have accompanied Portuguese explorers on ocean voyages. In the waters off the west coast of Nazaré, delicate seahorses cling to kelp beds, while endangered seals take shelter in the protected bays of Portugal’s islands.

Almost eight weeks have passed since the start of this latest social experiment and the four couples prepare to make their final decision in the new episode “Are You In, or Are You Out?” The idea of staying married has a nice ring to it for some, while others still have some doubts, so they turn to their friends and family for advice.

8 p.m. on HBO Movie: The Survivor

Ben Foster re- teams with director Barry Levinson, who gave the actor his first movie role in “Liberty Heights,” for this hard- hitting fact- based drama about Harry Haft, who survives the horrors of being a Jewish inmate at the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp. He also must fight fellow prisoners in brutal, gladiator- like boxing matches that the camp stages to amuse his captors. The film, which premieres in honor of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), also stars Vicky Krieps (“Phantom Thread”), Peter Sarsgaard, Billy Magnussen, Danny DeVito and John Leguizamo.
