News-Leader readers’ All-Ozarks teams are released

- Wyatt D. Wheeler Springfield News-Leader USA TODAY NETWORK

After receiving nearly 70,000 votes, our inaugural News-Leader readers’ All-Ozarks high school football teams are here.

News-Leader readers spent a week voting online for who they thought deserved postseason recognition after the 2023 high school football season. They were allowed to vote as many times as they pleased for their favorite athletes across southwest Missouri.

The News-Leader released its own All-Ozarks football teams at the end of the season and it had no impact on the results of the vote. These postseason teams were entirely voted on by the athletes, friends, family and spectators who wanted to have their voices heard.

Here are our first All-Ozarks football teams that were voted on by readers on News-Leader.com.
