Martin’s assistant coach salaries revealed

Missouri State head coach Cuonzo Martin's initial coaching staff will make less than the one that was let go at the end of the 2023-24 season but the gap will likely be closed with future hirings.

None of the three announced assistants will make more than any of the three assistants who served under previous head coach Dana Ford last season. There is a $88,000 difference between the two groups of three. It is unclear what titles future hirings will be assigned.

Martin, however, will be paid around $121,000 more than Ford made during his final season.

Missouri State is expected to approve the salaries for Martin's assistants at its Board of Governors meeting later this week.

Cuonzo Martin's men's basketball staff isn't completed yet

Missouri State acknowledg­ed additional staff will be hired at a later date when it announced Crump, Cunningham, Harris and Peterson. It is unclear who and how many there will be and what titles they'll hold.

There is currently a $153,000 difference between Martin's first three announced staffers and the final four who coached under Ford.
