Upcoming programs at the Clark County Public Library

Programs this week, as well as other library activities, the week of Oct. 9 include:

Seek and Find: Ghosts: month of October - Can you find the images of ghosts hidden around the Lenski Children’s Center? See the staff person at the desk for a prize after you’ve found them all. Ages 3-18 (and still in school).

Toddler Time to Go: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday - Parents and caregivers- learn intentiona­l play with your child to engage them in learning. Fun activity stations with instructio­ns will be set up, in partnershi­p with Boonshoft Museum. For families with children ages 0-3.

Little Blossoms Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday - This storytime engages babies and toddlers with books and learning through stories, music, movement and a simple craft idea to help develop fine motor skills. For ages birth to 2.5 years. Held in the Gaier Room.

Little Sprouts Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday - Led by a profession­al staff librarian, this storytime prepares preschoole­rs for later reading success through interactiv­e stories, songs, rhymes, a craft idea and other fun activities to promote early literacy. For ages 3-5. Held in the Gaier Room.

Hiit to be Fit: 2 p.m. Tuesday - Join Marian Plank (NASM, CPT, CNC) for a free full body workout combining elements of strength and cardio set to a fun, upbeat soundtrack. Bring yourself and a mat! For adults.

COSI Dinosaur Kits Give-away!: All day – Wednesday Celebrate National Fossil Day by picking up a free stem dinosaur kit, courtesy of COSI, to amplify your child’s learning and engagement. 1 kit per family, while supplies last.

Sweet Stitchers: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Wednesday - Bring your own stitching supplies and we’ll supply the treats. Finished items will be given to local charities. For all skill levels.

Harry Potter Trivia for Adults: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday - Prove your magical knowledge and spell it out to everyone. Rise through the ranks and become the Master of Magical Mischief. Note: Please bring a device with internet access in order to participat­e. For adults.

Sing & Smile Story Hour: 10 a.m. Thursday - Join in for stories, songs and sensory activities designed for adults with special needs and their caregivers.

LEGO Club: 6 p.m. Thursday - Create a theme LEGO masterpiec­e to be displayed in the Lenski Center. Bricks are supplied for those ages 5-12. In the Gaier Room.

Rose City Roleplayer­s: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday - You will be shown the ins and outs of tabletop roleplayin­g games in this bi-weekly meetup in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2. For adults 18 and over (out of high school).

Teen Game Club: 2 p.m. Saturday - Join in to play a variety of video games, board games and card games in the Lenski Program Room. Ages 13-18.

Piece By Piece - Adults: library hours – rotating puzzle. Come spend as much or as little time to help put together this community project. The puzzle will remain until it has been completed. A new puzzle will be selected to replace it.

Library Bingo: September 1 – October 31 - Stop by the library during regular hours and pick up a game card. Complete 5 activities on the card to create your own one-of-a-kind bingo. Return the completed card for a chance to win a small prize. For teens and adults.

Grow Our Pumpkin Patch: September 26 – October 24 Stop by the library during regular hours and pick up a pumpkin cut-out to decorate. Then return the pumpkin to the library to be displayed in the window patch for all to see. For ages 12 and under (while supplies last.)

Take and Make – Monster Mania: October 1 – October 31 Stop by the library during regular hours and pick up supplies to make your own monster pencil topper. We will provide most materials, while supplies last. For kindergart­en age and up.

Boil, Boil, Toil and Trouble: October 1 – October 31 - Match the book quote to the character who said it. There will be a drawing from all entries for a prize. Ages 12 and up.
