IN BRIEF | SOUTHEASTERN
Southeastern FFA has been busy
Southeastern FFA had 21 chapter members selected to go to the National FFA Convention & Expo last month. The chapter traveled to Indianapolis, sharing a charter bus with the FFA Chapter from Madison Plains High School.
Members attended tours of Purdue University, Umbarger Show Feeds facilities, the Southside Landfill, and Jungle Jims.
At the convention center, members visited hundreds of colleges and industry representatives from across the country. Members also attended general sessions led by the National FFA Officer Team.
Southeastern students Aubree Moore and Ethan Heskett, were up on stage to represent Southeastern FFA as the chapter was recognized as a 3-Star Chapter.
Good work by Miami View Student Council
The Miami View Student Council cleaned the football stadium on Oct. 24, leading up to the high school football team’s first playoff game, as a service project.
The student council is also planning to decorate the village Christmas tree on Nov. 30, to prepare for Christmas in South Charleston.
Just before Christmas break, the student council members will go to the Toy Barn to pack Christmas gifts for people in need.
And lastly, the members are organizing student-made Christmas cards, to be sent to Veterans during the holidays.
