Clark State honors
Alpha Nu Lambda, Clark State College’s chapter of the international honor society Phi Theta Kappa, held its fall induction ceremony where 49 students were inducted into the organizations.
Of the 49 students, 18 are from Springfield; six are from Xenia; five are from Dayton; three are from London; two are from Mechanicsburg, New Carlisle and Urbana; and one is from Beavercreek, Blue Ash, Cable, Cedarville, Degraff, Enon, Fairborn, Grove City, Hilliard, Leesburg, Marysville, Riverside, South Vienna, Trotwood and Yellow Springs.
To be an eligible candidate for PTK, students must have completed at least 12 college-level credit hours and have a minimum 3.5 grade point average. Students pay a one-time fee of $80 for a lifetime membership. Membership benefits include scholarships; free access to Five Star Competitive Edge, a personal and professional development plan for building marketable skills and an online portfolio; increased pay grade for entrylevel federal jobs; tuition discounts; and more.
The Alpha Nu Lambda chapter received numerous awards this year including the REACH Reward for the second consecutive year, which recognizes PTK chapters that achieve or exceed a 15% membership acceptance rate. Other honors include: Named in the top 100 chapters of more than 1,275 total chapters; Distinguished Chapter Award; and received an International Hallmark for Distinguished College Project Award.
