READY TO RIDE OUT WINTER

This photo from around 1886 shows Elmer Mezger riding in a sleigh that his father, Jacob Mezger, made in Kenton, Ohio. Jacob was a carriage builder and later moved with his family to work at the Kuqua Buggy Factory in Springfield. The factory was located on Columbia Street where the Olan Mills plant was later located.
