UPCOMING PROGRAMS AT THE CLARK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 5:

Programs this week, as well as other library activities, include:

■ Seek and Find - Penguins: month of February - Can you find the images of a penguin hidden around the Lenski Children’s Center? See the staff person at the desk for a prize after you’ve found them all. Ages 3-18 (and still in school).

■ Little Blossoms Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday - This storytime engages babies and toddlers with books and learning through stories, music, movement and a simple craft idea to help develop fine motor skills. For ages birth to 2.5 years. Held in the Gaier Room.

■ Little Sprouts Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday - Led by a professional staff librarian, this storytime prepares preschoolers for later reading success through interactive stories, songs, rhymes, a craft idea and other fun activities to promote early literacy. For ages 3-5. Held in the Gaier Room.

■ HIIT to be Fit – 2 p.m. Tuesday - Join Marian

Plank (NASM, CPT, CNC) for a free full body workout combining elements of strength and cardio set to a fun, upbeat soundtrack. Bring yourself and a mat! For adults.

■ Crafty Tweens: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday - A crafting program for tweens in the Lenski Program Room. Today’s craft will be friendship bracelets. For ages 8-12. No registration required.

■ Sweet Stitchers: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday Do you love to sew, knit or crochet, and do you like sweets? Bring your supplies to this club and we’ll supply the treats. Your finished items will be given to a local charity. For adults at all skill levels.

■ The Black Mariah Story w/jack Mecham: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday - Jack Mecham will share about his tour of duty in Vietnam, where he was solely responsible for planning and issuing frag orders for top secret helicopter missions in support of CIA operations. For adults in the Gaier Room.

■ Sing & Smile Story Hour: 10 a.m. Thursday - Join in for stories, songs and sensory activities designed for adults with special needs and their caregivers.

■ LEGO Club: 6 p.m. Thursday - Create your themed LEGO masterpiece to be displayed in the Lenski Department. We supply the bricks and you supply the imagination. For ages 5-12 in the Gaier Room.

■ Preschool Yoga Storytime: 10:30 a.m.

Friday - Join in for stories incorporating basic yoga, movement and meditation. Led by staff for preschool age children with their guardian in the Lenski Program Room.

■ Rose City Roleplayers: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday - You will be shown the ins and outs of tabletop roleplaying games in this meetup in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2. For adults 18 and over (out of high school).

■ Piece By Piece - Adults: library hours – rotating puzzle. Come spend as much or as little time to help put together this community project. The puzzle will remain until it has been completed. A new puzzle will be selected to replace it.

■ Jurassic Vote: February 1 – February 22 - Stomp into the library and vote on a name for the set of bones in the children’s area from a list of 5. All ages welcome to participate during regular library hours.

■ Questionable Hearts: February 1 – February 27 Match our questions with the appropriate heart word and enter for a chance to win a sweet treat that may just make your heart sing. All ages welcome to participate during regular library hours.

■ Take and Make Origami Penguin: February 1 – February 27 - Waddle into the library to pick up supplies and directions to make an origami penguin, while supplies last.

■ What do you love about our library?: February 1 – February 28 - February is library lover’s month. Fill out a heart and tell us what you love about your library. All who do will receive a sweet treat.

■ Valentine Activity Bag: February 1 – February 14 - Children, ages 2-12, may pick up a Valentine Activity Bag to take home during regular library hours, while supplies last.

■ Valentine Owl Hunt: February 1 – February 14 - Find the hidden “Happy Valentine’s Day” owl in the children’s area to receive an owl Valentine card with a sweet treat. Ages 2-12, while supplies last. Limit: 1 per child.

■ Storytime: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday - Program introduces toddlers and preschoolers to books, rhymes, music and crafts and teaches them how to interact with other children their age. Call to register.

■ Storytime: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Thursday - Together we will share stories, sing, move to music and make a craft. It’s a perfect chance to learn how to interact with other children ages 2-5. Parent or caregiver must be present with each child.

■ D&D Club: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday - Dungeon & Dragons session will be held weekly in the meeting room for ages 10-15. Registration is required. Please email Kylee Ervin at kervin@ ccplohio.org.
