UPCOMING PROGRAMS AT THE CLARK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR THE WEEK OF FEB. 19:

Programs this week, as well as other library activities, include:

■ Seek and Find Penguins: month of February - Can you find the images of a penguin hidden around the Lenski Children’s Center? See the staff person at the desk for a prize after you’ve found them all. Ages 3-18 (and still in school).

■ Cat Club: 1:30 p.m. Sunday - Calling all cat lovers! Meet up with Breannon to learn, discuss and be creative with all things cats! In Meeting Rooms 1 and 2.

■ Teen Advisory Board: 6 p.m. Monday - Join the board to help make the library a better place for you and others. Share thoughts and opinions on how to make the library more teenfriend­ly. For ages 13-18 in Lenski Program Room.

■ Read This! Book Club: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Monday - This month’s selection: The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christophe­r Murray. For adults. This special book club event will be held at the Springfiel­d Museum of Art. Galleries open at 5:30 p.m. and the book club will begin at 6 p.m. Discuss women’s literature while surrounded by artwork created by women in the exhibit Mirror Mirror.

■ Personaliz­e Your Phone Case: 6:30 p.m. Monday - Bring your phone case to be decorated! We will supply markers, washi tape and paint for artistic expression. Ages 13-18 in the Lenski Program Room.

■ Little Blossoms Storytime: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday - This storytime engages babies and toddlers with books and learning through stories, music, movement and a simple craft idea to help develop fine motor skills. For ages birth to 2.5 years. Held in the Gaier Room.

■ Little Sprouts Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday - Led by a profession­al staff librarian, this storytime prepares preschoole­rs for later reading success through interactiv­e stories, songs, rhymes, a craft idea and other fun activities to promote early literacy. For ages 3-5. Held in the Gaier Room.

■ HIIT to be Fit – 2 p.m. Tuesday - Join Marian

Plank (NASM, CPT, CNC) for a free full body workout combining elements of strength and cardio set to a fun, upbeat soundtrack. Bring yourself and a mat! For adults.

■ Crafty Tweens: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday - A crafting program for tweens in the Lenski Program Room. Today’s craft will be a rock photo holder. For ages 8-12. No registrati­on required.

■ Preschool Yoga Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Friday - Join in for stories incorporat­ing basic yoga, movement and meditation. Led by staff for preschool age children with their guardian in the Lenski Program Room.

■ Free Legal Clinic: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday - Record Sealing services and Certificat­e of Qualificat­ion for Employment (CQE) services will be available. Walk ins are welcome but assistance is not guaranteed. On site filing with Clark County Clerk of Courts. Register for event on Clark County website or visit library website for more informatio­n.

■ Piece By Piece - Adults: library hours – rotating puzzle. Come spend as much or as little time to help put together this community project. The puzzle will remain until it has been completed. A new puzzle will be selected to replace it.

■ Jurassic Vote: February 1 – February 22 - Stomp into the library and vote on a name for the set of bones in the children’s area from a list of 5. All ages welcome to participat­e during regular library hours.

■ Questionab­le Hearts: February 1 – February 27 Match our questions with the appropriat­e heart word and enter for a chance to win a sweet treat that may just make your heart sing. All ages welcome to participat­e during regular library hours.

■ What do you love about our library?: February 1 – February 28 - February is library lover’s month. Fill out a heart and tell us what you love about your library. All who do will receive a sweet treat.

■ Start Your Engines…

Race Day: 1 – 2:30 p.m. Monday - Rev those engines and participat­e in some Hot Wheels fun as well as design and race your own car. There is a limit of participan­ts so call to register.

■ Pokémon TCG Club:

3:30 p.m. Monday - Join fellow Pokémon fanatics to talk, battle, trade (with a parent’s permission) or show off your collection. You must bring your own cards. Ages 6-12.

■ Storytime: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Thursday - Program introduces toddlers and preschoole­rs to books, rhymes, music and crafts and teaches them how to interact with other children their age. Please call to register.

■ Storytime: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Thursday - Together we will share stories, sing, move to music and make a craft. It’s a perfect chance to learn how to interact with other children ages 2-5. Parent or caregiver must be present with each child.

■ Movie Matinee-strange World: 2 p.m. Saturday Join in for an afternoon of strange adventures with a viewing of this movie, rated PG. Popcorn and beverages will be provided.
