Bluebird Habitat Chat: The Bluebird Habitat Chat is for ages 16 & older and will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Learn more about bluebirds and their habitat and how to create a habitat in your own backyard. Learn how volunteer naturalists monitor bluebird activity in the parks during this educational program. Registered participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a bluebird nesting box. This program is free. The registration deadline is March 21. For more information call 937-328-7275.
Beginning Beekeeping Workshop: A Beginning Beekeeping Workshop is open to ages 18 & older and will be held as 2-part class on Thursday, March 30 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and Saturday, April 1 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Discover the science of beekeeping and learn how to start your own hive and the importance of honeybees during this workshop. The instructors are Certified Master Beekeepers. The registration fee is $40 and the deadline to register is March 24. Registration is available online by going to ntprd. org or in person at the NTPRD Administration Building. Waterfowl Walk: A Waterfowl Walk for ages 16 & older will be held on Friday, March 31 from 8:00 - 9:00 am at Old Reid Park. Look for ducks and other water birds during this morning walk. Get a close up look at several species of ducks as well as spot a variety of birds. Bring binoculars if you have them. This program is free and registration is required by March 29.
Wildlife Encounters: Wildlife Encounters is for youth ages 5-12, along with a caregiver, and will be held on Thursday, April 6 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. Meet live animals native to Ohio. Gain a greater appreciation for Ohio wildlife and the diverse habitats Ohio has to offer. Participants will receive a craft kit to go. The registration fee is $8 which includes one child and one adult. The deadline to register is March 31. Martha Washington Indispensable Women for the Indispensable Man: The historical program Martha Washington is open to ages 12 & older and will be held on Tuesday, April 11 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the Davidson Interpretive Center. Martha Washington was an unsung heroine who was more crucial in the nation’s founding than you would ever think. George Washington is widely regarded as the “indispensable man” to the success of the American Revolution. Martha was essential to him in many ways. Hear Lady Washington tell the fascinating story of her life in 19th Century

Yoga Flow: Yoga Flow is for ages 18 & Older and will be held on Tuesday, April 18 - May 23 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Administration Building. This Vinyasa class begins with mindful breathing and warm-ups before moving through seated, standing, and balancing poses. Vinyasa is a movement-based form of yoga, which focuses on flowing with the breath while reducing stress and increasing flexibility. Most postures can be modified for those with physical limitations. Participants will need to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and any props if you have them. The registration fee is $50 and the deadline to register is April 14. Trail Hikers: Trail Hikers is held on Wednesdays from 10:00 am 11:00 am. These guided, selfpaced hikes allow you to explore our local natural environment. These trails are all natural so be sure to wear your hiking boots. Hikers must complete a yearly registration form before their first hike. Go to ntprd.org to check out the Trail Hikers schedule. Trail Walkers: Trail Walkers is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28 from 10:00 - 11:00 am to walk on the Simon Kenton Trail and will meet at Splash Zone Waterpark. Trail Walkers is a guided walking program which highlights the multi-purpose trail system while promoting fitness, fellowship and fun. These guided walks will get you moving outdoors while you learn more about the local trails. Before the first walk participants must complete a yearly registration form.
