FIRST LUTHERAN

The Church observes Sunday of the Passion/ Palm Sunday with worship at 9:30 a.m. led by Pastor Ann Schmid. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday worship will be at 7 p.m.

FIRST BAPTIST

On Saturday at 11:30 a.m. an Easter Egg Hunt takes place at Melrose Acres, at the end of Mccain St., for children ages 1 – 12.

The sixth Sunday of Lent will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with a message presented by Pastor Adam Banks. At 11:15 a.m. children’s Sunday School and the Adult Forum will be held.

On Wednesday at 6 p.m. Bible study is held via ZOOM with a discussion of the book Enlighten Me by Rachel Martin. Holy Thursday will be celebrated at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall with a light meal, readings, music and prayer.

Next Sunday there will be a sunrise service at 8 a.m. followed by a continental breakfast and at 10 a.m. the Easter Morning Worship will be led by Pastor Adam Banks.

First Baptist Church,

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Services are held in person every Sunday at 10:30 am with Pastor Jody Noble. The Palm Sunday service on March 24 will include a children’s palm processional. Following the service an “Eggstravaganza” will be held in the Fellowship Hall, when eggs will be filled with treats in preparation for the Easter Egg Hunt.

The Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt for children up to 12 years of age on Saturday, March 30, at noon. There will be food, games and prizes.

The congregation will celebrate Palm Sunday both in person and on Facebook Live at 10 a.m. Pastor Ken Woode will speak on “The Cross Question: Am I Not to Drink the Cup?” At 5:30 p.m. the Lenten Study Soup & Discussion will meet to discuss why do the innocent suffer.

Services during Holy Week include Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services at 7 p.m.

Throughout the week Quilters will meet at 10 a.m. on Monday; the Bible Study will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday; and the Walkers will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday and Saturday.

TRINITY A.M.E.

The congregation will hold joint worship services with New North Street A.M.E. on Palm Sunday. The message will be given by Rev. Gayle R. Simmons, the new minister of Trinity A.M.E. Church, with music by both choirs.

During Holy Week, Wednesday services will be held at 6:30pm. Rev. Gayle R. Simmoms will deliver the message and the choir will sing.

ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN

Palm Sunday Service in the Sanctuary will begin at 9 a.m. with guest worship leader Linda Sprick-kruse.

Maundy Thursday Service will be In the Sanctuary at 7 p.m. and Good Friday Services at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

In other events the Rainbow Table Meal will be closed Friday. The Food Pantry is open the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Outreach Thrift Store is open Tuesday & Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
