Mary Kate Kinard

Mary Kate Kinard (Katie) Born March 3, 1966 in Greenwich, CT the beloved daughter of the late Mary and Craig Kinard. Katie is survived by her three brothers; Jason Kinard of Stamford, Michael Kinard and Steven Wallace of Greenwich, Craig Kinard and Janet Kinard of Monroe and three nephews; Thomas, Luke and Noah.

Katie loved bright, beautiful, sunny days when she could spend time outside with her beloved hound dog Abby. She loved all animals, but dogs had a special place in her heart. That love lead her to work as a dog trainer for families in lower Fairfield County.

She loved to laugh and read; the Harry Potter literary series was her all-time favorite. It was the whimsical, magical imagination that went into every sentence of each of the books that she enjoyed. That’s who Katie was; whimsical and free with a great imagination mixed with the characteristics of an old, gentle soul that made her so loved.

Her brothers were special to her, and she loved spending time with them all. Whether it was movies with Jason, dog walking with Michael or visiting with Craig and his children, she would never miss an opportunity to be with her brothers. Katie now rests with her parents, Mary and Craig, and her dog Abby in a beautiful, whimsical place; happy and whole.

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Tuesday May 22, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A private Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
