Francesco A. Guarnieri

Francesco A. Guarnieri, age 81, a long time Stamford resident, passed away on September 7, 2018. Born on November 27, 1936 in Rose Providence of Cosenza, Italy, he was the son of the late Eugenio Guarnieri and Viola Ruffolo Guarnieri.

Francesco was known for his quiet demeanor, strong work ethic and love for his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna Marie Guarnieri; his five children, Lola Stashenko and her husband John, Elda Velez and her husband Richard, Eugene Guarnieri and his wife Mary Ellen, Lou Guarnieri and his wife Robin and Frances Polotaye and her husband William. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his grandson John Stashenko IV.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford, CT on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will follow the calling hours at St. Mary Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT 06902. The entombment will immediately follow mass at St. John R.C. cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, in Norwalk.
