James J. Whittaker “Jack” passed away on October 31, 2018.

Jack was born on January 18, 1926 to James and Emily Whittaker. He grew up in Darien, CT and graduated from Darien High School in 1944. He spent most of his adult life in Norwalk. He was predecease­d by his wife Barbara and his daughter Sharon Ann Kochovos.

Jack is survived by two sons, James Whittaker and his wife Linda and Gary Whittaker and his wife Barbara as well as his three daughters, Cindy Antia and her husband Henry, Linda Collins and Lisa Willigan and her husband Herb. He also had twelve grandchild­ren and two great-grandchild­ren.

Jack was a self-employed electricia­n and owner of The FairCo Electric Company.

Jack served in the Navy during WWII. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was a member and a former commander of the American Legion in Norwalk.

Jack gave generously to countless charities throughout his life.

The family is asking that friends join them in a celebratio­n of the life of Jack Whittaker to be held at The American Legion, 60 County Street, Norwalk, CT on Friday, December 7th from 4-8 p.m. Please come remember Jack with cocktails, stories and an old fashioned send off.
