The Fair­field County Chap­ter of Ap­proved Base­ball Um­pires will con­duct their 2019 train­ing clin­ics for those in­ter­ested in work­ing high school, re­gional and youth base­ball games. No pre­vi­ous um­pir­ing ex­pe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary. The sea­sons be­gin in early April. FCCABU cov­ers games in most towns in Fair­field County. Can­di­dates must be Con­necti­cut res­i­dents and at least 18 years old or a high school se­nior. Clin­ics on rules and me­chan­ics will be held on eight con­sec­u­tive Sun­days start­ing Jan. 6th, 2019 at St. Joseph High School in Trum­bull at 7:30 a.m. An exam will be ad­min­is­tered on March 3.
