Krista Jo Bu­gen­hagen, 41, passed away coura­geously and in peace at her home on Thurs­day, December 13th, 2018. Krista was born in In­di­anapo­lis, In­di­ana and spent her child­hood liv­ing in Birm­ing­ham, Michi­gan and then Bloom­ing­ton, Illi­nois. At the time of her death, Krista lived with her hus­band, Jim, in Stam­ford, Con­necti­cut and their two young sons, Ma­son and Da­mon.

Krista at­tended col­lege at North­ern Illi­nois Univer­sity, earn­ing a Bach­e­lor’s of Ad­min­is­tra­tion in Mar­ket­ing. Krista then moved to New York City and in 2001 she be­gan her ca­reer with Chelsea Piers Sports and En­ter­tain­ment Com­plex in New York City where she ex­celled in her roles as Ex­ec­u­tive As­sis­tant and Man­ager of the Hu­man Re­sources De­part­ments at the New York and Con­necti­cut lo­ca­tions. For over 15 years, Krista also served as the Ad­min­is­tra­tor of the Sky Rink Youth Schol­ar­ship Fund, a role for which she was ex­tremely pas­sion­ate.

Sur­vivors in­clude her hus­band, Jim Bu­gen­hagen; sons, Ma­son and Da­mon; fa­ther, Richard (Tony) Rit­ter and mother, Bar­bara Rit­ter of Shell Knob, Mis­souri; brother, Matthew Rit­ter and nephew, Colin Rit­ter of Marengo, Illi­nois; and ex­tended fam­ily.

Two sep­a­rate cel­e­bra­tion of life cer­e­monies will be held in Stam­ford, Con­necti­cut and In­di­anapo­lis, In­di­ana with dates to be de­ter­mined.
