The Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will hold its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration worship at 4 p.m. Sunday.
The guest preacher will be W. Franklyn Richardson, senior pastor of the historic Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, N.Y. Richardson was inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Preachers in 1989 at Morehouse College.

WESTOVER
Enrollment is open for the next Stamford EMS safe sitter class. Children in grades 6-8 will learn the skills needed to care for themselves and young children to be safe and effective babysitters. The next class will be held Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stamford EMS, 684 Long Ridge Road.
Participants should bring a sack lunch, and will receive a training manual as well as a course completion certificate.

“We want our students to have the skills they need to do their job confidently. Students will learn safety skills, first aid, rescue and child care skills,” said Jessica Anderson, Stamford EMS lieutenant and academy training coordinator.
NORTH STAMFORD
Wine expert Natalie Berkowitz will host a wine tasting event on Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, at 39 Scofieldtown Road.
This event includes an interactive winemaking lesson, wine tasting and a signed copy of “The Winemaker’s Hand: Conversations on Talent, Technique and Terroir.”
Learn about the complex process of converting grapes to wine, from a noted wine expert who has interviewed winemakers from around the world.
Berkowitz is the author of the wine blog Winealicious. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator.
Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members and include lesson, tasting and a signed book.

Bethel AME Church in Stamford will present a “Valentine’s Celebration of Love” event on Feb. 15, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus at 507 Shippan Ave.

The Ferguson Library will hold the fourth annual Fairfield County Game Jam on Jan. 25 to 27 as part of Global Game Jam weekend.
Award-winning composer Tom Salta will kick off the weekend with a keynote address at 5 p.m. Jan. 25. Bob McCloud, digital animation and game development professor at Sacred Heart University, will attend the event.
The Global Game Jam is the world’s largest game jam. Participants worldwide will create a game based on a theme decided by the Global
Game Jam. The theme will be released the first night when all sites have come online.
Global Game Jam connects gamers, artists, writers and developers to learn, have fun and create something innovative. No experience is necessary.
The event is open to gamers 18 years and older. Gamers between the ages of 16-17 can participate but must be accompanied by their legal guardian. Participation is free and meals will be served. Registration is required at globalgamejam.org/2019/jam-sites/fergusonlibrary.

The Stamford Art Association is presenting a photography exhibit called “4 Visions” at the Mayor’s Gallery.
The exhibit runs through Feb. 28. The show will be on display on the 10th floor of Government Center and is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show will feature the work of Stamford Art Association members Jean-Marc Bara, Carol Battin, Christine Irvin and Gregory Presley.
The exhibit explores how different artists view the world through their camera lens.
