Lawsuits filed against Purdue Pharma by the attorneys general of Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York also name as defendants eight members of the Sackler family, who own the company. Each is related to the company’s late co-founders, brothers Raymond and Mortimer Sackler, who purchased Purdue’s predecessor company in 1952.

DAVID SACKLER: New York-based grandson of Raymond and Mortimer Sackler, and son of Richard Sackler. Board member from 2012 to 2018
ILENE SACKLER LEFCOURT: New York-based daughter of Mortimer Sackler. Board member from early 1990s to at least 2018
JONATHAN SACKLER: Greenwich-based son of Raymond and Beverly Sackler. One-time vice president. Board member from early 1990s to at least 2018
KATHE SACKLER: Connecticut-based daughter of Mortimer Sackler. One-time vice president. Board member from to at least 2018
MORTIMER D.A. SACKLER: New York-based son of Mortimer Sackler. One-time vice president. Board member from early 1990s to at least 2018
RICHARD SACKLER: Florida-based son of Raymond Sackler and Beverly Sackler. One-time CEO and senior vice president. Board member from early 1990s until 2018
