Lawsuits filed against Purdue Pharma by the attorneys general of Connecticu­t, Massachuse­tts and New York also name as defendants eight members of the Sackler family, who own the company. Each is related to the company’s late co-founders, brothers Raymond and Mortimer Sackler, who purchased Purdue’s predecesso­r company in 1952.

THERESA SACKLER: United Kingdom-based widow of Mortimer Sackler. Board member from early 1990s until 2018.
