LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL
STAMFORD NORTH Clairol 4, Carpentry
Unlimited 3: Luke Goodreads (two hits, double) and Matt Quaglino drove in a pair of runs each to provide Clairol with all the offense it needed in a 4-3 win over Carpentry Unlimited on May 4. Andrew Wong (seven Ks, no earned runs) tossed 42⁄3 strong innings and Derick Gonzalez added a hit for the winners. Andrew Soltes, Harrison Tronick and Jackson Wilkes each had two hits for Carpentry while Soltes pitched five scoreless innings of relief (seven Ks). Haggerty Pool 2, Clairol 0: Travis Fuchs struck out 12 and allowed a single hit in five dominant innings as Haggerty Pools edged Clairol 2-0 on May 8. Fuchs and his brother, Justin, each had a pair of hits for Haggerty. Ryan Szczesny picked up the save with two strikeouts. Andrew Wong and Matt Feeny (two scoreless innings, five Ks) took the hard-luck loss for Clairol.
WOMEN’S GOLF STERLING FARMS
In a May 7 Stroke play event for the 18 Holers, Jen Kaplan (95) had low gross score just ahead of Sue Cortese (96) and Jeanette Chagaris (97). Lisa Moser (72) was low net score followed by Joanne Kristofits (78) and Darie Donovan (79).
In a May 7 Stroke Play event for the 9 Holers, Arlyn Kaster (36) was low net champ followed by Geri Genovese (38).

GOLF TOURNEYS
The Stamford Oldtimers Athletic Association will be holding its annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 20 at the E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course.
Proceeds will be used to support area Youth Sports activities as well as a Scholarship Fund for Local Scholar Athletes.
At 11:30 a.m., sign-in and lunch. At 1 p.m., shotgun start followed by dinner at Zody's 19th Hole Restaurant. Price including cart, golf, lunch, and dinner is $150.
