New eatery opening on Greenwich Ave.
Scene… Little Beet Table at 376 Greenwich Ave. is opening its doors on Monday. The fullservice restaurant and bar serves 100 percent glutenfree food with a diverse menu conceived by its culinary director Chef Matt
Aita, formerly of Jean Georges and Rouge Tomate in New York, and Chef
Rich Perez, formerly of Picholine and Roy Choi’s restaurant group, who will be at the helm of the Greenwich restaurant. The opening marks the restaurant’s third eatery nationwide, joining outposts in Manhattan and Chicago.
Scene… Composer, pianist and producer Joel Martin debuted a concert reading of his original production, “HipOpera” to a full house at Darien Art Center’s Weatherstone Studio on Renshaw Road last Saturday. The premiere included nine accomplished vocalists, an orchestra of 13 and an ensemble of seven who performed a combination of classical music, jazz and world music and hiphop with opera.
