The most important issue in this election: Darien is on the eve of historic, transforma­tional redevelopm­ent. Providing support for the successful completion of these new projects and enhancing the pedestrian experience is paramount. In addition, working collaborat­ively with all town boards and staff to provide accountabl­e, efficient, innovative and costeffect­ive government service to our community have my focused attention.

Other issues: As an experience­d Chief Elected Official and regional leader, maintainin­g a safe, healthy, sustainabl­e, family and businessfr­iendly community, supporting high quality public education for our children and effective and accountabl­e government service while limiting tax burdens and reliance on state support are my highest priorities.

Family: Married 32 years to husband John Stevenson. We have five children (4 daughters and one son) ages 2029, all of whom attended Darien Public Schools, and one grandchild.
