The most important issue in this election: Advocating for those who happen to find themselves in the lower half of the Achievement Gap. Those being Black and Latino Students and Parents.

Other issues: Supporting teachers in their work to successfully educate our children. Also working on the recruitment and retention of minority teachers to better serve our diverse student population and finally providing students with everything needed to move to their next level of education.

Family: I am a product of the Stamford Public School System graduating in the first 4 Year Class at Westhill High School. I have 3 children who graduated from Stamford High School. One is currently a teacher here in Stamford, one who is in her final year of residency at Rutgers Medical Center in New Jersey and one currently working on her Early Childhood Development Degree while working in a Daycare. I also have 3 grandchildren currently in the Stamford Public Schools.

Previous elected offices, community group affiliations: President of Stamford NAACP, 2nd VP of the CT. State NAACP, Stamford NAACP Youth Advisor, CoChair of the Stamford MLK Committee, VP of WEEACT Inc.
