Party: Republican

Age: 59

Incumbent: no

Current job: Retired Law Enforcement Officer

Education: Norwalk High School, The National Counterterrorism Center The most important issue in this election: Our community, families, educators and students are facing many critical issues that are important to education, and the larger question should be ... How are we going to work together to solve them? We need to move forward together. To help improve the school climate and offer a better, healthy and safe environment to our students and to support our educators. We have always had a focus on teaching, but it is the learning that matters most in order to have a safe and supportive school climate. I want to ensure that our educational system is the doorway to opportunities.

Other issues: We live in a stressful world. Social emotionally learning is needed more than ever, when an educator works to teach how to alleviate and manage stress, students are more likely to learn deeply, avoid negative behaviors and achieve successful outcomes with longterm effects. Stamford’s community is looking for the return on our investment in our schools and I am looking forward in delivering it.

Previous elected offices, community group affiliations: First School Resource Office at Westhill High School, Stamford Exchange Club, Healing Hearts, Former Board member at SPEF, Yerwood Center, Founder and President of Greater Stamford Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, appointed by Democrat Mayor to Stamford Achieves
