Christmas celebratio­ns make the scene

Out there… The Greenwich Historical Society’s annual Candleligh­t festive event takes place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 15. It will feature holiday music, delicious hot chocolate and treats, a visit from Santa Claus and craft projects for kids. Tours will be offered of the BushHolley House, which is decorated for Christmas as it was celebrated by the Bush family in the Colonial era and the Holley family in the Cos Cob Art Colony era. The festivitie­s are free. The candleligh­t tours of BushHolley House are free for members and $10 for nonmembers. For more info, go www.greenwich history.org.

Church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. The program will include Christmas carols, including “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” “Let it Snow,” “The Christmas Song” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

With the Stamford Symphony Brass takes place at 4 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 15, at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in Stamford, featuring Stamford High’s Madrigal Singers, The Ballet School of Stamford and Chelsea Piers and Project Music.
