- with Susie Costaregni

Out there… The onetime home of the late Emmy Award-winning actress Mary Tyler Moore on Dingletown Road in Greenwich, where she lived with her husband Robert Levine, will be honored by the Greenwich Historical Society’s Landmarks Recognition Program for design excellence. The honor will be bestowed on her home and others at a reception at Greenwich Country Club on April 26. Moore, who passed away at Greenwich Hospital on Jan. 25, 2017, was famous for her roles as Mary Richards on the ‘70s sitcom “The Mary

Tyler Moore Show” and as Laura Petrie on ‘60s sitcom “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” Her former husband, Grant Tinker, a producer on the “Mary Tyler Moore Show” and a Stamford native, often docked his yacht at The Delamar in Greenwich.

Seeking donations… Neighbor to Neighbor has canceled its 45th anniversary Spring Benefit Luncheon that had been scheduled for April 1 at the Greenwich Country Club. The luncheon is “one of our most important fundraisers,” the group said. Neighbor to Neighbor asks ticket holders to consider donating the ticket price as a 100 percent tax-free donation at this critical time. To request a refund or designate it as a donation, ticket holders should contact Susan Maher at Neighbor to Neighbor at 203-6229208 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. “Now more than ever, our children, families and older adults need your support,” the group said. “Because of Covid-19, the people we serve at Neighbor to Neighbor’s Food Pantry are at extreme risk because of loss of income and increased food insecurity. We are committed to providing food for them. We anticipate a significant increase of neighbors needing assistance with food.”

Scene… Actor Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva of Pound Ridge, N.Y., will be welcoming a second child this spring. Gere, 70, and Silva, 36, share a son, Alexander, who was born in February 2019. Gere also has a son, 19-year-old Homer, from a previous marriage to actress Carey Lowell.
