Premier Oral Surgery of Connecticut will resume performing elective oral & maxillofacial surgical procedures beginning Wednesday May 20th, 2020. During this unprecedented time during the Covid-19 pandemic, the practice has remained open to perform urgent and emergent dental procedures to serve patients and prevent unnecessary visits to the hospital or urgent care, which were overwhelmed treating Covid-19 patients. Efforts to close the office between March 26th to April 6th to contribute to flattening the curve were applauded by the community and fellow colleagues.

The safety of patients and staff is of utmost importance to their goal – to make your oral surgery experience comfortable, pleasant and easy. They have modified their operations using precautionary protocols and procedures in line with American Dental Association (ADA) and Center for Disease Control (CDC). Infection & Disease Control has always been a top priority for their practice in order. To make your experience safe and comfortable they have eliminated the waiting rooms and will do their best to minimize time spent in the offices. All patients are screened prior to any visit including a temperature check and physical isolation during the intake process. The staff also undergoes daily temperature monitoring with additional PPE. Appointments have been modified to promote social distancing in the offices. They require everyone to wear a surgical mask in the offices at all times, including the staff. They installed multiple air purifiers with germ & particle capturing HEPA allergen removing filters to improve the quality of the air in the practices. Furthermore, additional time has been implemented for cleaning throughout the day with frequent sanitizing of high touch areas.
