Thomas Frank Flanagan born December 24, 1945 in Stamford, CT passed away on January 23, 2021. He was the son of George Flanagan and Margaret Sanislo Flanagan.

Tom (Pop) Flanagan, resided in Norwalk, CT for many years and recently moved to Bonita Springs, FL. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and employed by Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram City of Greenwich prior to his retirement.

Tom loved and celebrated his Irish heritage, was a lifelong golfer and a serious Mets and Jets fan. He loved to read; especially Stephen King novels. Weekends and vacations were spent with his children and grandchild­ren. He loved to play cards and made sure to teach everyone he knew how to play the card game Geronimo.

Having recently retired to Florida, he continued his golf game, walked the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches and made many new friends. He will be missed for his great sense of humor and friendly nature. Anytime you needed a hand Tom was right there.

He is survived by his loving and devoted daughters, Catharine Gerardi, husband

Michael, and Deborah Tether, grandsons Jesse Gerardi, Daniel MacDonald, and wife Jennifer, and Joseph Tether. Nieces Lyn Chatham, Christine Chatham, Sheila Flanagan, Claire Flanagan, and nephews Thomas Chatham, Timothy Flanagan, and sister-inlaw Joan Flanagan.

In addition to his parents, he was predecease­d by his wife Bernice (Bunny) Leary, sisters Margaret McFall and Dorothy Pastore, brother William Flanagan and nephew David McFall.

“May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

Funeral services will be private, with a celebratio­n of Tom’s life at a later date.
