Cunningham helps Oklahoma St. beat Texas in double OT

STILLWATER, Okla. — Cade Cunningham scored five of his 19 points in the second overtime, including a contested 3-pointer with 1:33 left, to help No. 24 Oklahoma State beat No. 6 Texas 75-67 on Saturday.

Keylan Boone led OSU with 22 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, including two in the second overtime after Cunningham had staked the Cowboys to a 74-67 lead with the 3-pointer and two free throws.

Avery Anderson added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Cowboys (12-5, 5-5 Big 12).

HOUSTON — Cameron Tyson made a school-record 10 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 32 points, and Houston rolled over the NAIA’s Our Lady of the Lake.

Coming off an 82-73 loss to East Carolina on Wednesday, the Cougars (16-2) left little doubt against the overmatche­d Saints, jumping out to a big lead by halftime.

NORMAN, Okla. — Elijah Harkless scored a season-high 19 points, and Oklahoma held off Iowa State to send the Cyclones to their seventh straight loss.

Austin Reaves, Oklahoma’s scoring leader this season, missed the previous two games while in COVID-19 protocols. He started and had 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Dru Smith and No. 18 Missouri built a 22-point lead in the second half, then held off a frantic rally by Alabama.

The Tigers held their largest lead with 13:05 left and were still up by 20 with less than six minutes remaining.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Kofi Cockburn scored 23 points, Ayo Dosunmu added 21 and Illinois beat Wisconsin in a key Big Ten Conference matchup.

Dosunmu also had 12 rebounds and 12 assists for only the third triple-double in school history. Cockburn had 14 rebounds and recorded his eighth double-double in nine games for Illinois (13-5, 9-3).

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Mac McClung scored 23 points and Texas Tech beat Kansas State.

McClung, the Big 12 leading scorer, is averaging 25 points in his last four road games and capped off the game with a breakaway dunk in the final minute to put away Kansas State.

CHARLOTTES­VILLE, Va. — Sam Hauser scored 10 of his 23 points during a key second-half stretch, and Virginia pulled away from Pittsburgh.

Hauser, Jay Huff and Tomas Woldetensa­e all hit back-to-back 3-pointers in a 23-9 surge that turned a 36-all game into a 59-45 lead for the Cavaliers (13-3, 9-1 Atlantic Coast Conference).

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Nahiem Alleyne hit a go-ahead jumper with 25 seconds remaining in overtime and Virginia Tech defeated Miami.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Miles McBride scored a career-high 29 points, Taz Sherman had a career-best 25 and West Virginia beat Kansas.

NO. 25 DRAKE 80, VALPARAISO 77

VALPARAISO, Ind. — ShanQuan Hemphill scored 18 points, including a dunk that jump started a late 11-0 run, as Drake held off Valparaiso.

The Bulldogs (18-0, 9-0 Missouri Valley), who trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half, are one of three remaining unbeaten teams in the country.
