Frank D. LaBella
The family of Frank D. LaBella sadly announces his passing, in Florida, on February 13, 2021.
Frank was born and raised in Stamford, CT with his parents, his three brothers and extended family. After high school he served honorably in the United States Army. He married Audre Crochet and together they raised Frank “Bunky”, Lori and Chris in Norwalk. Frank spent his professional career at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich and after retiring, he and Audre moved to Candlewood Lake in New Fairfield. Frank truly learned to relax and enjoyed caring for his lawn and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. Frank and Audre made their final home in Florida in 2001 to be with all their children and grandchildren. Many fun years were spent in the Florida sun and at the beach!
Frank loved the NY Yankees, grilled cheese and more than anything else – his family.
Although Audre predeceased Frank in 2014, and his beloved daughter Lori predeceased him in 2018, to the rest of us, he will be missed and always lovingly remembered as our Dad and Papa. Left to keep the funny stories and memories alive are his sons Frank and wife Beth, Chris and wife Debbie, his son-in-law Richard Janesky, his grandchildren Michelle and husband Dan, Richie, Frankie, Katie, Kristen, Lori and the next generation of NY Yankee fans, Waylon and Vance, cherished children of Michelle and great grandchildren of Frank. As known to many, “Sonny” leaves behind a lifetime of memories and stories with the LaBella, Rinaldi, Caporizzo and Zapata families in the Stamford area.
Frank will be laid to rest, along with Audre, at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL, with full military honors.
