Sophia Bridget (Strelakos) Robie was born on 3/21/35. She passed away peacefully at the age of 86 with her daughters by her side on 5/26/21. She lived most of her life in Stamford, CT. She attended Stamford High School class of 1953 Sophie was employed by G.E., Graphic Color Plate, and Carol Lee Designs until retiring to Southport, NC.

Sophie is predecease­d by her parents, Mary M. (Moroney), and George P. Strelakos, siblings Peter G. Strelakos, Mary E. Dandanell,George P. Strelakos, Jr., and sons Jackie R. Robie, and Daniel B. Robie.

She is survived by her sister, Louise Simonsen, her daughters, and their spouses, Deborah and Jerry Longyear, Lynn Robie Cambareri, Lauren and Dan Henson, Dawn Altomaro, and Mary Lou and Ron Francis. She is also survived by 17 grandchild­ren, 10 great-grandchild­ren, and her nieces, and nephews.

Sophie loved her family and her life long friends, she was always ready with a joke to make you smile. She also loved to travel and quick to note she had been to Ireland 5 times. An avid reader, dancer, and hockey fan. She will be dearly missed.

Arrangemen­ts will be handled by Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, a private wake for Sophie’s Children, Grandchild­ren and Great-Grandchild­ren.

There will be a celebratio­n of Life Mass at St. Maurice Church on Saturday, 6/05/2021 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate on Sophie’s behalf to Nat’l Svc Ofc of Nurse-Family Partnershi­p and Child First, 1900 Grant St, 4th flr, Denver, CO 80203, or online to www.givetonfp. org.
