Grammy winner Michael Bolton dines in Greenwich

Scene… Grammy Awardwinni­ng singer/songwriter Michael Bolton was seen having dinner at Tony’s at the JHouse in Riverside last weekend. The Westport resident is hosting “The Celebrity Dating Game” with actress Zooey Deschanel, which airs on ABC at 10 p.m. Mondays. Also seen at the popular restaurant last week was WWE wrestler Brock “The Beast” Lesnar.

Out there… NHL greats Dominic Moore and Mike Richter and many others are hosting a charity event on Thursday, Aug. 12, at The Village in Stamford, for rare cancer and concussion research, including support for Greenwich-based Fibrolamel­lar Cancer Foundation . The event, called Smashfest, is a pro/am pingpong tournament pairing celebritie­s with local fans and offering fun, food and drinks with your favorite sports stars. Scene… Grammy Awardwinni­ng singer/songwriter and pianist Alicia Keys was seen dining recently at Saltaire in Port Chester, N.Y.

Out there… The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens will feature award-winning artist and Dobro player Abbie Gardner in concert from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 25, on the Great Lawn. Bring chairs or a blanket, and a picnic dinner. Her latest CD, “Wishes on a Neon Sign,” features 12 original songs, including a co-write with Grammy-winning country singer Chris Stapleton. Out there... The Greenwich Historical Society in Cos Cob is featuring a live concert with the popular country band Gunsmoke

Out there… The Bedford Playhouse in nearby Bedford, N.Y., is featuring “Broadway in Bedford: Leading Ladies” at 5 p.m. Sunday July 25. Out there… The Greenwich Art Society’s 104th annual Juried Exhibition is taking place at the Bendheim Gallery at the Art Center on 299 Greenwich Ave. All artwork from the exhibit, showcasing artists from here to Texas, is for sale with a portion of the sales benefiting the Greenwich Art Society. The juror for the exhibit, Allison Rudnick, is associate curator in the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Metropolit­an Museum of Art.
