‘Let Bobby show you what he can do’

-

To the people of Stamford, Bravo, bravo and yet again, bravo!

The Stamford Police Association’s endorsement of Bobby Valentine is significant. No other endorsement is more important to the safety and well-being of our city.

Like Bobby, I was born in Stamford, where I spent 30 years as an educator and 30 more at the University of Connecticut and Sacred Heart University as a professor.

Bobby was my student at Rippowam High School 50 years ago, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching him blossom into a world-renowned athlete and exceptional manager of people.

Eight years ago, he joined me on the faculty at Sacred Heart, and he again demonstrated how his intellectual and creative abilities can help organizations achieve progress.

Bobby understands Stamford is a complex city that needs a strong, sensitive, powerful leader who can address its educational, economic and community needs.

I truly believe Bobby will bring Stamford to its fulfillment as one of the most exceptional cities in the United States!

Now is the time. Let Bobby show you what he can do.

He is a candidate who has a global perspective and a record of accomplishment, and as mayor, he will help the City of Stamford reach its remarkable potential.

Bobby has the talent, personality, financial acumen, and intelligence to make it happen. We are lucky he has chosen Stamford as his next home run!

Dr. Sondra Melzer is a professor emeritus at Sacred Heart University.
