Estelle (Cassell) Romano, 90 years old, was a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT. She passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Friday, November 19, 2021.

Estelle graduated from Stamford High School in 1950 and married her husband the late Anthony Romano in 1954. Together they ran a successful constructi­on business and built commercial and residentia­l homes of distinctio­n in Greenwich, Stamford and throughout Fairfield County. In the late 1970’s Estelle opened The Stamford Uniform Shop on Summer Street and she sold uniforms for 29 years, closing the store in 1999 when she retired to winter in Florida. Throughout her marriage, one of her greatest pleasures was the many trips with her husband where they visited many remote destinatio­ns. They were the first Americans to travel to China in the 1970s when then President Nixon opened relations with China. Estelle was a member of Saint Leo’s Parish and their senior group.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Louise Romano, Desiree Gray and Toni Price and husband Bill; by grandchild­ren, Hayley (Price) Parris and husband Tom and Alexandra Price; and by a great grandson Cameron Nicholas Parris. She was preceded in death by husband Anthony Romano and grandson Nicholas Price.

The Romano family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 1st from 9am to 10:30am at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford, CT. Her interment will be Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Rd, Stamford, CT.
