Susann Page Holmes

-

Susann Page Holmes, resident of Stamford, CT, passed into the Heavens after 93 years on 1/29/22. She joins her beloved husband of 66 years, Bill Holmes and son Kent Holmes.

She was the only child born to Charles and Charlotte Page in Rochester, New York. She graduated from West High School and Brockport Teachers College.

She is survived by her children Paul, Eric, Tracie, son in law Burch and daughter in law Nanette, and her grandchildren Alicyn Holmes, Brooks Steele, Taylor Holmes and Morgan Baylor.

Her passion was sharing 400 Broadway Shows, finding inanimate objects in movies for The Movie Group, museums, her 10 bridge groups, voting, making cookies for the Christmas Party, the Golden Globes Red Carpet events, and meeting celebrities with friends and family.

She was involved with multiple humanitarian works including 25 years volunteering for the Stamford Hospice, Meals on Wheels, Newcomers Group, March of Dimes and being the ticket sales coordinator for the Westchester Ballet Company. She kept the Stamford Library in business with her ceaseless appetite for reading. Her desserts were legendary. Her hospice patients would ask for a repeat baking of her raspberry pie or cheesecakes. She kept up with current affairs, politics and was a keen historian who could chronologically name all British royalty.

We thank the Bridges staff for their compassion and as Susann would say daily to her caregivers, “I love you”.
