Wanda Brennan, 93, of Stamford, CT. passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 10th, 2022 at Fairfield County House in Stamford. Wanda was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., January 13th, 1929 to Helen and John Malinowski. Wanda was a telephone operator and met her husband James ( Jimmy) Brennan when they were both employed at New York Telephone Company. They were married April 7th, 1951. Wanda left her job with the arrival of her daughter, Paula. They moved to Staten Is., in 1961 and were active members of their church. Wanda was a homemaker and mother who loved to entertain her family and friends. She was known for her delicious cheesecake­s. Wanda became a profession­al Electrolog­ist and had a successful and rewarding practice for many years. Wanda and Jim retired to Stamford in 2005. Wanda had many interests and talents; oil painting, decoupage, jewelry making, baking and party planning. She enjoyed being involved in fundraisin­g events in her local AARP and St. Leo’s Seniors. Wanda had been enjoying her life at Atria until her health declined.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula Eytel (Anthony Buzzelli), grandson, David Eytel (Blair) granddaugh­ter, Jennifer

Lerner (Zachary) and great grandson, Gavin Lerner. She has a nephew, Steven Nunemaker (Tricia), sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews of the Brennan family and her friend from Atria, Frank Giugno.Wanda was predecease­d by her loving husband, Jimmy, of 64 years and her two sisters, Zenona Grompton and Jean Nunemaker.

In keeping with Wanda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A memorial mass will be at a later date. Paula wants to thank the kind staff of Atria Stamford, Wanda’s aides from Healing Hands Home Health Care, caregivers from Constellat­ion Hospice, and Stamford Hospital for the care and support of her mom.
