Stamford gravy train nearing end

- Paul Arvoy is a Stamford resident.

To the editor, Once again we have another Stamford swamp creature who forgets how the process works.

In response to Rick Redniss (letter, “Letter: Casualities of the Stamford zoning war,” another unelected bureaucrat, we the people of Stamford came out in droves to push back on the Stamford Planning and Zoning overreach. This is the American process at work. We the people are not a minority group of residents. The petition reflects the process and all of the Stamford residents’ signatures were the voice of the people rejecting the ruination and integrity of our once great city.

The real issue is, unelected bureaucrats who are truly upset about the dollar signs they will not produce for their own self interest off the backs of Stamford residents. This type of invisible corruption has been a part of Stamford for decades while the people of Stamford were content with their beautiful city that worked. In the meantime, the bureaucrats were having their cake and eating it too until these individuals became greedy, thinking that Stamford residents were complacent and continued down the path toward destruction of a once thriving city. Speaking of minority, Mr. Redniss should look in the mirror if he wants to see the minority.

Most people who live here cannot just pick up and leave. We get stuck with the horrible policies forced on Stamford by a minority of unelected officials who have overstayed their welcome. Well guess what, people such as Rick Redniss have made so much money off the backs of Stamford residents, that after they ruin a city they can pick up and leave, leaving the residents behind to suffer with the effects of their selfish policies.

Give me a break. This is not about day cares in Stamford. It’s about the gravy train coming to an end. Maybe it’s time to take your pirates’ booty and sail off into the sunset. I hear the golf courses are really nice down South.

Most people who live here cannot just pick up and leave. We get stuck with the horrible policies forced on Stamford by a minority of unelected officials who have overstayed their welcome.
