Victoria M. Lombardo November 6, 1927 - January 9, 2023

Victoria M. Lombardo, lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully at Bridges by Epoch in Norwalk, on Monday, January 9, 2023. The daughter of Michael and Catherine (Comito) Lombardo, she was born on November 6, 1927, and was educated in the public schools of Stamford. She then took classes at the Pratt Institute School of Design in Brooklyn, NY. Vickie, as she was known to many, was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, John, Peter, Albert and Louis, and two sisters, Ellen Gaipa and Dolores, and by her niece Kathy. She is survived by her sisterin-law Marie R. Lombardo of Trumbull. Also surviving her are her nephews Peter, Michael (Deborah), Thomas (Kathleen), Louis, Jr. (Laura), Michael (Cathy), John, and Robert (Debra), and a niece Linda, as well as by several cousins, and many grandnephews and grandnieces.

Miss Lombardo worked in pattern and other design functions for Conde Nast in Greenwich, McCall’s/Simplicity in New York City, and Pitney Bowes in Stamford for her entire career, retiring in the late 1990s. She was an inveterate traveler, and with her sisters, traveled the country and the world. A highlight of her life was her journey to and from Europe on the Concorde.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St Cecilia Church 1184 Newfield Ave Stamford, CT. The Interment will follow at St John Cemetery Darien, CT. No calling hours will be held.
