Reilly leads SHU past Fairleigh Dickinson

TEANECK, N.J. — Joey Reilly's 29 points helped Sacred Heart defeat Fairleigh Dickinson 92-85 on Friday night.

Reilly added three steals for the Pioneers (11-10, 4-2 Northeast Conference). Nico Galette scored 16 points while going 8 of 12 from the field, and added seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Bryce Johnson shot 6 for 11, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc to finish with 14 points, while adding 11 rebounds.

Demetre Roberts led the way for the Knights (12-9, 5-1) with 27 points and two steals. Fairleigh Dickinson also got 26 points from Grant Singleton. In addition, Joe Munden Jr. finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals. The loss snapped the Knights' six-game winning streak.

Fairfield 67, Canisius 58: At Fairfield, Jake Wojcik had 18 points in Fairfield's victory over Canisius on Friday night.

Wojcik also added five rebounds for the Stags (8-10, 4-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Supreme Cook scored 15 points while shooting 6 of 11 from the field and 3 for 6 from the line, and added 12 rebounds. Allan Jeanne-Rose recorded 15 points and shot 5 of 8 from the field and 5 for 6 from the line.

Men’s hockey

No. 12 Cornell 4, No. 1 Quinnipiac 0:

At Ithaca, N.Y. goalie Ian Shane finished with 21 saves as Cornell ended the Bobcats' eight-game winning streak and 17-game unbeaten stretch.

The Bobcats' streaks were both the longest active stretches in the nation.

It was the first conference loss for Quinnipiac (18-2-3, 12-1-0 ECAC). Cornell improved to 116-1 (8-3-0 ECAC)

Sacred Heart 2, Holy Cross 2 (SHU wins shootout 2-1): At Fairfield, Daniel Ebrahim tallied a goal in regulation and notched the game-winner in the shootout for the Pioneers.

Julian Kislin also scored for Sacred Heart (11-9-2, 10-4-2 AHA).

At New Haven, Matthew Coronato tallie the game winner for the Crimson (13-4-1, 11-2-0 ECAC) at the 4:40 mark of overtime.

Teddy Wooding and Ian Carpentier scored goals for Yale (3-11-4, 29-2).
