ON-CAMPUS COMMUNITY

-

At Cheshire Academy, boarding students have access to a full-service dining facility, fitness center, study areas, student center, music room, library, and 24/7 health center. The school is within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores and accessible to metropolitan areas via car or mass transit.

On-campus events include the annual Pillar Games, where groups of students compete in mental and physical challenges. During international community weekends, students showcase, share, and discuss their diverse backgrounds and heritages with their classmates.

Surrounding Eagle Hill’s 23-acre campus is a cross country trail and stream, which students use for fishing. Facilities include a full gymnasium, art room, music room, fitness center, game room, community room, box ball and basketball courts, a playground, and large playing fields.

Family Fun Day gives students, families, and faculty the chance to enjoy an on-campus carnival while building community with one another. Other events include Bingo and Pizza Nights, the spring dance, and inviting day students to spend an afternoon in the dorm.

During Franklin Academy orientation, students participate in “Speed Friending” to find others who share their similar interests and passions.

The Greater Franklin Open combines the fun of learning with the fun of golfing, as teams of students are charged with designing and building their very own miniature golf holes. A tournament takes place in October, with the winning team receiving maroon jackets in a school-wide ceremony.

Other unique offerings include an Invention Convention, trivia nights, formal dinners, Diversity Day, and the Franklin Film Festival.
