Beth Hogan

On January 28, 2023, Beth A. Hogan left this earthly world to join family and friends in heaven. Beth was 64 years old. Beth was elected First Selectman of East Lyme in 2005 and served one term. She was a graduate of Boston University and Quinnipiac Law School and previously was a lawyer at the law firm of Seifert and Hogan in Old Lyme. Beth worked at The Connection Inc where she was director of government and community partnershi­ps. Her last project was St. Mary Place Apartments in New London which converted a school into affordable housing units.

A native of Meriden, Beth grew up in Stamford. Her parents were the late Bill and Rita Hogan. She is survived by her loving husband, Conrad O. Seifert of Niantic, CT, by her daughter, Emily E. Seifert and her fiancé, Christophe­r Williams of Revere, MA, by her maternal aunt, Mary A. Isbell of Stamford, CT, by her brothers, Christophe­r W. Hogan of Stamford and Michael L. Hogan and his wife Maria Hogan of Lafayette, IN, by her sister-in-law Christina McLean and by her nieces and nephews: Katherine Hogan, Jack Hogan, Meghan McLean and Michael McLean. Beth is also survived by two special cousins, Laurie Isbell Agee (David Agee) of Gloversvil­le, NY and Maura Kallaway (Kevin Kallaway) of Milford. She is grateful for the lifetime of special sisterhood they shared and for her cousins Taryn, Kevin, Molly and Kiara Kallaway.

Beth served on various East Lyme boards and commission­s as well as numerous charities in New London County. Beth led an incredible life of service to others.

Calling hours are Noon to 2 PM on Friday, February 10th at the Neilan Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, CT. Burial is private. A celebratio­n of Beth’s life will be announced at a future date.
