Rosalie “Lee” Schneider of Middlebury, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. She was born in New York to Alfred and Teresa (Scialabba) Regalbuto, residing for many years in Stamford, CT before moving to Middlebury, CT.

While in Stamford, Lee worked for Howmet Industries, Cummings & Lockwood, and as a PA to Miriam Moran of Darien. Upon retirement, she became active at the Senior Center and volunteere­d her time at Stamford Hospital. Athletic and intelligen­t, she was an avid tennis and Bridge player, as well as an artist and spiritual woman who led groups in her home. Lee’s greatest loves were her grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children; she was often the first to be aware of their impending arrival. Beautiful inside and out, Lee was feisty, strong, and gracious. Her loving presence will be missed by all.

In addition to her parents, Lee was predecease­d by her sister, Anne Regalbuto, and her brother-in-law Willard Lester. She is survived by her son, Hubert “Buff ” (Karen) Bowen Jr.; daughter,

Leslie (Rick) Kenny; sister Theresa “Terry” Lester; grandchild­ren: Richard (Vanessa) Kenny, Michelle (Andrew) Maag, Evan (Eileen) Bowen, Kalianne (Kevin) Motson, and Leanna (Eric) Doyle, nine greatgrand­children, as well as extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 19th at The Church of New Life, 74 Kelly Rd., Middlebury, CT 06762. Please note that any deliveries to the church should arrive on Saturday, March 18th before noon. The family welcomes donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, in lieu of flowers.
