Scene… Democratic pundit and political consultant James Carville, chief strategist of President Bill Clinton, was seen chatting with Greenwich resident Blaise Punturo of Sotheby's Internatio­nal Realty at Greenwich Cigar & Stationery on Railroad Avenue on Monday morning. Carville is married to Republican political consultant Mary Matalin, well known for her work with President Ronald Reagan, on President George H. W. Bush's campaign, and as assistant to President George W. Bush and advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney.

Out there… The Palace Theatre on Atlantic Street in Stamford is hosting "LaughTrax: Colleens of Comedy" on March 17 at 8 p.m. The evening will feature comedian Jane Condon ,a Greenwich resident, and Brooklyn-based comedian Kendra Cunningham. Scene… Greenwich Wine + Food wrapped up its 10th anniversar­y celebratio­n with "The Big Easy" at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. on March 4, bringing the flavors of New Orleans to life with a grand tasting dinearound from area chefs, iconic drinks from Bourbon Street and the music of headliner Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Big Head Todd & the Monsters and Dumpstaphu­nk featuring Cyril Neville. Legendary New Orleans chef/restaurate­ur Dickie Brennan was honored for his contributi­ons to the culinary world, and chef Michel Nischan (Bridgeport-based nonprofit Wholesome Wave) and caterer to the stars Mary Giuliani (Mary Giuliani Catering & Events) were special guest attendees. The event benefited two national nonprofit organizati­ons with roots in Connecticu­t: The Jacques Pépin Foundation and Wholesome Wave. Scene… Author, tech journalist and CNBC contributo­r Rebecca A. Fannin will visit the Ferguson Library in Stamford on March 21, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fannin will discuss her latest book “Silicon Heartland: Transformi­ng the Midwest from Rust Belt to Tech Belt,” an optimistic look at the entreprene­urial comeback of the Midwest. Fannin is the author of Silicon Dragon,” “Startup Asia” and “Tech Titans of China” and founder of Silicon Dragon Ventures, a media and events platform focused on startup investment. Out there... The Greenwich Historical Society's new exhibition "Sports! More Than Just a Game" is a series of events aimed at developing a

deeper understand­ing of sports and their impact on culture and society. The exhibit kicks off March 16 with a lecture by Neal J. Powless from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Powless, a member of the Onondaga Nation, will share a detailed history of the Indigenous roots of lacrosse and discuss the game's significan­ce and importance today. He is an All-American, AllWorld and profession­al champion lacrosse player, and the first Indigenous head coach to a European national team, the Dutch National Lacrosse Team, as well as an internatio­nal public speaker, and the current ombudsman for Syracuse.
