Christian Siriano post-fashion week party at The Collective West in Westport
Fashion designer Christian Siriano brought the runways of New York City and Paris to the Post Road when he hosted a post-fashion week party at his Westport store. The March 14 event at The Collective West was open to the public and featured drinks, snacks and a peek at Siriano’s spring and fall lines.
“We brought a mixture of our spring collection ... and then we brought what we just showed on the runway, which is more fall for next season,” said Siriano. “We felt like it was fun for people to see the fabrics in person. Everyone is always like, ‘Oh I see it online or in a picture,’ but you never really know what it is.”
The fall collection featured evening gowns and separates in burnt orange, black and brown tones, while the spring collection, with ballet-inspired dresses, featured pale pink, white and black.
Pieces from both collections hanging on racks at the store shared a theme of light, ethereal fabrics mixed with heavier metallics.
The event also showcased jewelry from local jeweler Josh Levkoff.
“It’s fun to do these for communities so people can get out and have a great fashion night,” he said. “You see everyone get dressed up...it makes it something social for people.”
The designer and Westport resident known for dressing celebrities like Oprah, Melissa McCarthy and Billy Porter, opened The Collective West in 2022. The store sells Siriano’s designs as well as other brands of clothing, shoes, jewelry and home accessories. It also has an art gallery area.
“What’s great is the community is so supportive and wonderful,” he said of his store. “We meet people form everywhere — all of Connecticut, which is great. People drive three hours just to come shop.”
