CLAIROL REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS

Clairol 3, Haggerty 0: Clairol captured the regular-season championship for Stamford North Little League with a 3-0 victory over Haggerty Pools on June 6. Clairol finished with a 14-4 record, two games ahead of second-place Haggerty at 12-6.

Clairol pitchers Shaun Donawa (1.2 innings, five Ks) and Joe Colon (4.1 innings, 10 Ks) allowed only two hits in the contest. Donawa belted two hits (double) at the plate while Ryan Tonghini and Matt Feeny added RBI singles. Matt Quaglino scored the first, and decisive run, for Clairol. Logan O’Neill threw 1.2 innings of one-hit, shutout relief for Haggerty.

Carpentry 5, County TV 4: Carpentry Unlimited closed its regular season with an exciting 5-4 win over County TV on June 5.

Connor Hoch led Carpentry with two hits (solo HR) while Nico Seitaridis (two doubles), Andrew Lanzillotti and Mike Yeboah also had two hits each. County’s Eli Villanueva had three hits and Brady Moore had two RBI.

Clairol 17, Viking 3: Shaun Donawa’s four-hit (HR, double), five-RBI day led Clairol in a 17-3 romp over Viking Construction on June 2. Joe Colon (three hits, two doubles), Matt Feeny and Andrew Wong each drove in a pair of runs while Luke Goodreds added a double. Charlie Cook pitched a scoreless frame for Viking.

Clairol 2, Haggerty 1: Pitcher Joe Colon scattered five hits while recording all 18 outs by strikeout in a complete game as Clairol beat Haggerty Pools in walkoff fashion, 2-1, on June 1. Luke Goodreds drove in both Clairol runs while Matt Feeny had a double for the winners. Haggerty’s Sean Jones pitched five solid innings, allowing no earned runs on just three hits. Cody Baker drove in the team’s sole run.
