Arlene Terry Critzman, 75, lifetime resident of Stamford, CT., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 9th, 2018, at the Fairfield County Hospice House in Stamford, after bravely battling cancer.

Arlene was born in Stamford, CT., to George and Esther (Cohen) Molowitz, on March 18th, 1943. She graduated Stamford High School in 1961, and attended The University of Bridgeport. She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Newfield Elementary School for 37 years and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 3 grandchild­ren.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Howard John Critzman of Stamford, CT., son Scott Critzman and his wife Jeanne of Norwalk, CT., daughter Laura Lagerstedt of Barre, VT., sister Susan Kolbrenner and her husband Max of Stamford, CT., grandchild­ren Kate Lagerstedt, Julia Lagerstedt, and Matthew Critzman, niece Amy Neer and husband Jason, nephew Seth Kolbrenner and his wife Megan. She is preceded in death by her mother, Esther Molowitz, and her father George Molowitz.

Funeral service will be held at Agudath Sholom 301 Strawberry Hill Ave, Stamford, CT. on Tuesday December 11th 2018, at 1:30 p.m. with Rabbi Daniel Cohen officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Independen­t Lodge Cemetery, 305 Hoyt Street, Darien, CT. 06820. The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Susan and Max Kolbrenner from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 12th and Thursday December 13th.
