A people person who has worked for four realty companies, Schultz has found her home at Weichert Realtors-Madison and Post, where she has worked for the past two years.
“Weichert is more of a family. We are not a big office with 100 agents,” said Schultz, a Vermont native who covers both Fairfield County and Westchester County over the border in New York. “We (Realtors) help each other out. There is a lot of camaraderie here. We brainstorm together.”
The Stamford office of Weichert has about two dozen agents.
For Schultz, who worked for an advertising agency on Madison Avenue in Manhattan and has experience as an account executive in the financial services and home ownership insurance business, said — at this stage in her life — it’s more about just making money.
“I’m am the time of my life now where it’s not just about money, but about the personal satisfaction in helping others,” she said.
The personal satisfaction Schultz gets comes from the personal touch she provides all her clients.
“Buying a home is the most personal purchase they will ever make,” she said. “You need to get to know your clients.”
One way Schultz gets to know her clients is by taking them out to dinner or for coffee and driving with them in various neighborhoods.
“I usually like to drive. I talk to them
and get their feedback,” she noted.
Schultz, who does both residential and commercial real estate, said interested buyers and sellers should call on her because “I’m diligent and professional.”
Schultz said she went into real estate because “of the flexibility. I needed a job where I could work on the weekends and most of my clients are looking for homes on the weekends. It’s a great fit.”
About 75 percent of Schultz’ business is in Connecticut while the other 25 percent is in New York. In Connecticut, her primary communities are Stamford, Norwalk and Wilton.
Schultz enjoys skiing, international travel and entertaining.
